What this site is, what it is not, and the limits of what you can rely on.
This is general information, not therapy. Guides describe common practice and typical patterns. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or personalised advice for your relationship. Persistent distress, untreated depression, addiction or trauma belongs with a qualified professional.
If you are not safe, this site is the wrong tool. Fear of your partner, threats, control over your money, movements or contacts, or any physical harm is not a communication problem and no script here addresses it. Contact a domestic abuse service or the emergency number in your country.
Advice is general, people are not. Where a guide gives a script or a rule, it is a starting point written for a typical case. You know your relationship; adapt the wording, and drop anything that does not fit.
Outcomes are not promised. Nothing on this site guarantees that a relationship will improve, survive or end well. Both people have to want the same thing, and only one of them reads this page.
Accuracy and availability. We correct errors as we find them and re-date the affected guide, but we do not warrant that every page is complete or current, or that the site is available without interruption.
Content ownership. The text and design of this site belong to us. Quoting a passage with a link back is welcome; republishing whole guides is not.
